‘The Show Must Go On’ campaign launches new items to continue with its fundraising

The Theatre Support Fund has released a new range of merchandise once again featuring the brands of 16 major West End musicals. Designed by two friends from one of London’s top theatre prop manufacturers, the new products include a re-useable face mask, and their entire profits will be sent to charity organisations providing financial aid both to actors and crew as well as the NHS.

It’s already been months since the theatre was struck by an ongoing worldwide blackout. But from its very beginning, there have been a few ones that have kept the spotlight on – acting as a beacon of hope for one of the industries this pandemic has affected the most. The Theatre Support Fund is no doubt one of this arts rescuers, launching a special T-shirt to raise money for charity a few weeks ago. After the success of its first release, which has received 7500 orders from 42 different countries, the creators are expanding their idea into new products.

Once again featuring the logos of 16 major West End musicals, ‘The Show Must Go On’ has presented their own face masks, with a very similar design as its predecessor. In the same way, all of the profits will be split between the charity organisations Acting for Others and the Fleabag Support Fund, both of which are providing theatre professionals with financial aid during the lockdown, as well as helping the NHS COVID-19 Urgent Appeal. Apart from this new mask, which is re-useable, the new merchandise includes a notebook, mug, badge and tote bag.

This campaign has been put together by Chris Marcus and Damien Stanton, both friends working at Marcus Hall Props (one of the leading props manufacturers in the West End). The shows which have licensed their brands for the products include, in alphabetical order, & JulietCome From Away, Dear Evan HansenEveryone’s Talking about Jamie, HamiltonLes MiserablesMamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, Matilda The Musical, Six The Musical, Tina, The Tina Turner MusicalThe Book of Mormon, The Prince of Egypt, The Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera and Wicked.

Face masks can be purchased at a cost of £9.50 on this link, as well as the rest of the items.
