The show will travel all across the country until May 2024, some of its locations including Bath, Salford and Belfast. Written by award-winning BBC author Danny Robins, the play tells the eerie tale of a couple moving to their new house, where they will soon find their accompanied by some unwanted guest.
Better believe in ghost stories – you’re in one! Oops, wrong script quote – but serves its purpose anyway. Whatever the case, fans of terror and good theatre alike will be horrified to know that London’s most thrilling paranormal-themed play is on its way to haunt the rest of the country. Written by award-winning author Danny Robins, creator of the hit BBC podcast The Battersea Poltergeist, and directed by Matthew Dunster and Isabel Marr, the piece tells the stirring story of a couple who has recently moved to their new house, where they’ll soon find they’re not the only inhabitants of the property.
“Over the last year I have had so many people asking me on social media when we are going to bring 2:22 out on tour”, says Robins. “That moment has finally arrived. We are beyond excited to be taking the show around the UK. It’s a play that will make you laugh, scream, cry, think and jump out of your seat – a proper spooky night out – and it’s coming to a town near you!!! Do you dare come and watch? We can’t wait to see you!”.
Produced by Runaway Entertainment, this extensive UK-wide tour will open at Bath Theatre Royal on 1 September 2023 and continue through to May 2024 – its full schedule to be announced soon. Also on sale from today is a week-long run at The Lowry, Salford, which will start on Halloween, as well as the Grand Opera House Belfast from 14 November 2023.
