The show will play two exclusive performances by the end of August, featuring a star-studded cast led by Norm Lewis and Celinde Schoenmaker. A sequel to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s world popular hit, The Phantom of the Opera, the piece follows up on the story’s leads as they reunite 10 years after the original events.
Hurry up, you won’t believe it! Yes, you’ve read right – Phantom of the Opera‘s second installment is about to return to its hometown. But this time it won’t be in the shadows of the Adelphi that he will lurk, but under the spotlight of London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane in a concert production featuring a star-studded cast. Accompanied by a 27-piece orchestra, the company will be led by internationally acclaimed performers Norm Lewis and Celinde Schoenmaker.
“My love for Andrew’s ‘Love Never Dies’ meant this was the quickest yes, the moment I was asked!”, says Lewis. “I am honored to don the iconic Phantom mask yet again, and continue the story of a character that forever changed my life. And to perform it at the famous Theatre Royal Drury Lane? There’s nothing greater. I cannot wait to be reconnected with the London audiences!”.
A follow-up to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s multi-billion-grossing theatre phenomenon, Love Never Dies is set 10 years after the initial plot, where the Phantom lures Christine, Raoul and their son, Gustave, to come visit him to his new lair, now working as the mysterious manager of a popular theme park in Coney Island. As old memories unlock, so will the secrets from a still beating past. With a score by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and a book by Lloyd Webber, Slater, Ben Elton and Frederick Forsyth, the montage is s produced by Fourth Wall Live and the London Musical Theatre Orchestra.
Love Never Dies In Concert will play at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 21st (7.30pm) and 22nd August (2.30pm). Tickets are available on the following link.
