The show will tour around several parts of the UK for one month only, welcoming two different leads while also featuring most of the original troupe. The run will be followed by the company’s return to the Edinburgh Fringe, bringing back their latest creation upon an initial sold-out run at the festival last year.

But if you want to let yourself be taken by some family theatre magic, beguiled by charming, catchy tunes, and be brought onstage for some harmless public humiliation, this is your show – though probably you’ve already heard about it, as it’s making another comeback!
Today, producers have announced the full cast starring in the new upcoming tour of Scouts! The Musical. Starting its final run next June, the company will welcome Eleanor Fransch (You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Alice in Wonderland at The New Vic) as ‘Eliza’ and Burhan Kathawala as ‘Joe’. Returning to the production are Kemi Clarke (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, The Gruffalo) as ‘Scout’ Leader Dylan, Katie Pritchard (A Jaffa Cake Musical) as ‘Rosie’, Emily Kitchingham as ‘Charlotte’ and Rob Gathercole (Faking Bad) as ‘Luke/Linus Lionheart’, while Heather Gourdie completes the cast as ‘Narrator/Swing’.
Developed by the Gigglemug company, and with Music and Lyrics by David Fallon and Book, Lyrics and Direction by Sam Cochrane, the show deals with an annual competition gathering scouts from all over the world, which will be put at jeopardy when an unexpected intruder attempts to sabotage the event. It will be up to protagonists Joe and Eliza to put aside their rivalries and use their newfound skills to save the day!
Playing for one month only, the upcoming venues and dates include The Crescent Theatre, Birmingham from 3rd – 7th June; The Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester from 10th – 15th June; Upstairs at the Gatehouse, London from 18th – 22nd June; and The Egg Theatre, Bath from 26th – 29th June. As part of their summer season, Gigglemug will also return to the Edinburgh Fringe this year with A Jaffa Cake Musical, following its initial sold-out run at the festival last year.
