The show will play for a limited run by mid-November, featuring songs from world-renowned musicals including Mamma Mia!, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and Wicked. A part of Nimax Theatre’s socially distanced autumn season, the production will celebrate the wealth of West End talent and will ensure all safety measures to abide by the COVID-19 restriction rules.
It’s finally happened. It’s finally here. The long-lasting dream all theatre fans have shared since the lockdown began has become true. What started as a small project to support the arts by selling customized face masks has now turned into a full scale experience at one of London’s most prestigious venues. The Show Must Go On campaign will open at the Palace next november for a limited run, in an event that will celebrate the richness of West End talent, and whose whole profits will once again go to the Acting For Others and The Fleabag Support Fund charity organizations.
“It warms the heart to see all these fantastic West End shows coming together to benefit our community”, says producer Nica Burns, from Nimax Theatres, a company who has started a socially distanced season for this autumn. “A big thank you to everyone taking part on stage and off and a special shout out to the producers, The Theatre Support Fund+ and Take Two Theatricals for making it happen. Directed by Luke Sheppard and Anna Fox, the gig will feature tunes from internationally renowned musicals such as & Juliet, Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Mamma Mia!, The Prince of Egypt, SIX, Tina and Wicked. The cast will be announced in due time. To make this experience possible, the theatre’s capacity has been reduced to abide by the social distancing rules in order to reduce any infection risks. In addition, the venue will provide hand sanitation, deep cleaning of the building, contactless tickets, temperature testings as well as require patrons to wear face coverings.
The Show Must Go On will play on November 13th (7 pm), 14th (7 pm and 2 pm) and 15th (7 pm). Tickets are available from £22.50 and can be purchased at the following link.
