From an initially little off-Broadway musical to becoming the most Academy awarded composer in History, Alan Menken’s career is, by all means, a tale as old as time about talent, persistance and a passion for what he does. Probably the man responsible for all of your favourite songs from your childhood (and likely some of the ones nowadays too), Menken is by definition the man with magical touch, as he’s redefined the sound of Disney’s movies and shows for decades and decades to come. With a new production of Newsies just opened in London for this season, this and many more projects are the ones will be discussing in today’s interview.
