The show commences its new season today, marking its own individual milestone since its world premiere in the London scene. Set 19 years after the end of the original series, the plot reunites the old lead trio, as they are joined by a younger generation of wizards in an epic adventure that will determine the course of time.
We all need a little bit of magic in our lives – and probably, a few could benefit from a curse or two once in a while (to my entertainment, that is). Yet, hardly any occasions can bring so much illusion and sparkle like a West End show celebrating one more year of a long, long run – especially, when every aspect of it is nothing but spellbinding. Today, the critically acclaimed London production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child commences its 8th season in theatreland, as it continues to bewitch audiences with the latest installment in the adventures of the boy who lived.

Set 19 years after the original book series finale, the plot reunites Harry, Ron, and Hermione, as they return to Hogwarts to be joined by a new generation of young wizards – all of them, soon to be taken into a breathtaking jaunt featuring tricks, time races and an epic battle against the mysterious forces that are putting the future at stake. Starring David Ricardo-Pearce asHarry Potter, Polly Frame playing Ginny Potter and Ellis Rae as their son Albus Potter, the lead cast is completed by Thomas Aldridge as Ron Weasley, with Jade Ogugua playing Hermione Granger along with Taneetrah Porter as their daughter Rose Granger-Weasley. Steve John Shepherd, on the other hand, plays Draco Malfoy, with Harry Acklowe as his son Scorpius Malfoy.
